ICME Xpo Roundtable and Symposium
Date and time
Location
Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center
475 Via Ortega Mackenzie Room (room 300) Stanford, CA 94305Description
Every May, ICME holds a Research Symposium, providing an up-close and inside look at current research and future plans for ICME faculty and students. ICME is engaged with over 50 faculty from 20-plus departments throughout Stanford. This is a unique opportunity to see how computational mathematics, data science, machine learning, scientific computing, and related fields are applied across a wide range of domain areas.
This year, ICME Xpo will also include a morning Roundtable with ICME industry partners, faculty and students around the topic: Design for Data and Algorithms. The Roundtable will explore best practices and frameworks dealing with the design challenges around trust, bias, communications, privacy, usability and more.

Computational mathematics is at the heart of many engineering and science disciplines and has grown into a strong and very exciting interdisciplinary field of research.
The Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME), and its predecessor program Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics, has offered MS and PhD degrees in computational mathematics for over 30 years. Affiliated Faculty conduct groundbreaking research, train and advise graduate students, and provide over 60 courses in computational mathematics and scientific computing at both the undergraduate and graduate level, to the Stanford community.
